I really like this pack it holds my 3 cameras perfectly. The weight isn't really a problem .some pads would good for bottom protection. I can charge my cameras while im out takin photos which is nice.
I’ve genuinely been searching for the perfect backpack to hold all of my camera gear, and charge/power my kit on the go… and Coalax just nailed it with the Lancer 300! The materials they used are premium and luxury feeling, yet durable. It’s like a piece of art that also holds all of my equipment, and keeps everything powered for days! I absolutely love my Lancer 300 backpack!
Probably the best looking pack I've owned to date. Plenty of room for 2 drones Canon eos r5 and 2 lenses and flashes, lights .....pretty much anything you may need for a shoot.
The bag came as advertised, I like the whole ergonomics and design, I would of like to see more space in the actual bag itself but I love it and cant wait to take it out into the field.
I recently purchased the Lancer300 Modular Backpack on Kickstarter and have had the opportunity to test its features thoroughly. While the components of my order arrived in separate shipments—the solar panel, power bank, and backpack—I now have the complete setup needed for outdoor adventures. The only component I’m still waiting on is the smaller power bank, which I plan to use primarily for air travel. As it stands, the system is ready to go as soon as the weather allows.
Design and Functionality
The backpack’s modular design is intuitive, allowing the components to fit together seamlessly. The materials feel durable and well-constructed, providing confidence in its ability to handle outdoor adventures. While I initially received some additional buckles and straps without clear instructions, the system as a whole is very user-friendly.
Performance
The power bank and solar charger exceeded my expectations. During testing at a park, I used the system with my high-powered gaming laptop. While the backpack’s laptop compartment wasn’t large enough for my 17-inch gaming laptop (as clarified by the manufacturer, it is designed for laptops up to 15 inches), this wasn’t a concern for me. I have no intention of carrying a laptop during hikes, as it isn’t necessary for outdoor activities. Instead, I plan to use the backpack for essentials like my camera, enabling me to capture moments and edit later at home.
Despite being tested in a non-hiking setting, the power bank performed impressively. It kept my laptop fully charged for an extended period, demonstrating its efficiency even with high-demand devices.
Outdoor Use
The backpack does feel slightly heavier than traditional hiking packs, but this is understandable given its advanced features. My primary concern was the lack of a dedicated water pouch compartment. However, the manufacturer has clarified that the water pouch can be placed either in the accessory chest bag or the front quick-release area—two practical and functional options.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Lancer300 Modular Backpack is an impressive and innovative product. It combines functionality with versatility, making it a great companion for outdoor enthusiasts. While I’m still awaiting the smaller power bank for air travel, the system is otherwise ready to use as soon as the weather improves. I look forward to testing it fully during spring adventures.
